A Year of Paul Rudolph Pics

Help us celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the Art & Architecture of Paul Rudolph flickr group! Mentioned in Architect Magazine and elsewhere in the blogosphere, the site has grown to 131 members and 2,375 photos of Rudolph's buildings from around the world. The group also hosts a various number of discussions about Rudolph's work and the current status of buildings threatened with demolition.

The site was originally set up after the demolition of the Micheel's Residence in Westport, Connecticut with the idea that greater recognition of Rudolph's name and legacy in the architectural profession would result in greater efforts to preserve his work. Many of Rudolph's buildings are in danger of demolition or severe alteration - it is our hope that the more people are familiar with his work and its significance, the easier it will be to keep it from being torn down.

If you have photos of his work and would like to contribute to this effort, you can go to the site here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/paulrudolph/
